Copenhagen ― Two local trains collided head-on north of the Danish capital Copenhagen on Thursday, injuring 18 people, five of them critically, emergency services said.

Two trains have collided head-on on a level crossing north west of Copenhagen, leaving four people critically hurt and 11 others needing hospital treatment, officials say.

All of the 37 passengers were removed from the two trains and a military helicopter helped to fly patients to hospital.
