The Maryland Department of Health confirmed the state’s first human case of West Nile virus this year in an adult living in the central part of the state.

The Maryland Department of Health announced someone in Central Maryland has tested positive for the West Nile virus.

A handful of cases of West Nile Virus in New York City and Yonkers has sparked concern in the rivertowns. Last week, the New York City Health Department reports that two Queens residents were infected,
