One day after announcing three finalists for their permanent nickname, the Utah Hockey Club has replaced one of them. Wasatch, named for the Wasatch mountain range in Utah, has been swapped out with Outlaws,

First of all, it’s not “a” Wasatch. It’s THE Wasatch. As in, the Wasatch Mountains, which are in Utah. Totally makes sense. It’s apparently a word in the Ute language that means “mountain pass.”

The final three names for the Utah Hockey Club’s future name have once again changed within 24 hours of being released. Utah owners Ryan and Ashley Smith
