The entrepreneur is entering a competitive GOP primary to replace Republican Governor Mike DeWine, a seasoned center-right leader who is term-limited.

President Donald Trump officially endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor of Ohio on Monday night. The president announced his intentions to support his former Republican primary opponent in a post on Truth Social.

Ramaswamy, 39, launched his campaign with a two-hour rally not far from the suburbs just north of Cincinnati where he grew up. Hundreds of supporters packed a warehouse of CTL Aerospace in West Chester Township.
