Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces announced Monday it had acquired Thomas Pieters via trade from Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats GC, the first trade of the offseason. The 4Aces didn’t send a player back in return, as Sports Illustrated’s Matt Vincenzi reported, and the expectation is the 4Aces will not re-sign Pat Perez, whose contract expires Jan. 1, 2025.

Dustin Johnson has praised Thomas Pieters after trading him into his LIV Golf team, 4Aces GC. He called the Belgian golfer a great addition to the squad, adding that he would make the team stronger and more competitive.

Dustin Johnson has added European Ryder Cup player Thomas Pieters to his 4Aces GC team in the first of what is set to be many moves of the LIV Golf off-season. Pieters joined LIV Golf in February 2023 and played for Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC side in his first two seasons.

Thomas Pieters hasn't won any event in the LIV League yet. Pieters used to play for Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC and the team had two top 3 finishes in the 2024 LIV schedule, including a T3 finish at the LIV Golf Las Vegas and a T2 finish at the LIV Golf Miami.
