McLaurin, 29, has missed the entirety of training camp because of his contract stalemate with the team, and a deal has not yet been reached.

The Washington Commanders activated wide receiver Terry McLaurin from the PUP list over the weekend and want him at practice in the final weeks leading up to the season opener. McLaurin missed much of the franchise's voluntary workouts and skipped mandatory minicamp this summer.

A Monday report indicated that people within the Washington Commanders are confident the club and wide receiver Terry McLaurin will agree on a "compromise" contract extension after the 29-year-old, in the final year of his current deal, requested a trade on July 31.
