Swiggy said on Tuesday it expects to post positive core earnings by December 2025, helped by the rapid expansion of its quick commerce arm Instamart, after the Indian food and grocery delivery firm posted a smaller quarterly loss.

Swiggy, a leading food delivery and quick-commerce app in India, said on Monday that it has expanded its 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, to more than 400 cities and towns across the country.

Food delivery platform Swiggy is expanding its express delivery Bolt business to tier 2 and 3 cities such as Roorkie, Guntur, Warangal, Patna, Jagtial, Solan, Nashik and Shillong. The company's shares closed higher in Monday's trading session.

The massive expansion of the rapid food delivery service by Swiggy comes at a time when startups are increasing their presence in this area. Zepto last month said it was scaling up its Cafe business,

Swiggy's 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, has expanded to over 400 cities in India, including tier-2 and tier-3 locations. Popular cities for the service include Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Coimbatore.

Swiggy claims that to ensure safety of the delivery partners, they are not informed of the distinction between Bolt and regular orders, and there is no incentive for fast delivery. However, the speed of delivery is optimized by prioritizing delivery executives closest to the Bolt outlets.
