Irish folk band The Mary Wallopers say they were muted at a music festival in Portsmouth, England on Friday for displaying a Palestinian flag during their set, something denied by organizers.

Yesterday, Irish folk group the Mary Wallopers had their set at UK’s Victorious Festival cut short after expressing support for Palestine with a “Free Palestine” chant and a Palestinian flag. Now, the Last Dinner Party have withdrawn in protest.

The league, however, will not sanction fans to bring Palestinian flags to the stadium, with the flag to be provided by the club.

Ayham Kiswani said he informed the employees of the incident. He stated the employees offered him a refund, which he declined.
