Asheville and Western North Carolina are under a winter storm warning until 7 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1. Multiple inches of snow dropped into the North Carolina mountains and continues to cause hazards into the morning of Feb.1, according to the National Weather Service.
Some of the highest snowfall totals on the map include 18.0″ in James City, 15.2″ in Newport, 14.0″ in Kinston, and 12.0″ in Greenville. Several other locations measured around the 10–11″ range, including Washington, Columbia, and Swan Quarter.
Over 20 inches of snow was reported in parts of North Carolina, while record-low temperatures were unleashed on Florida.
