A protest in Bastrop, Texas was part of dozens that took place across the country Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, for the “No Kings” day of action.
The No Kings “Hands off Chicago” protest was one of roughly 2,500 similar demonstrations against the Trump administration planned across the country and globe, according to organizers.
Thousands rally on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Des Moines for the No Kings protest with the Iowa State Capitol as the backdrop.
Despite the occasional driver "flipping off" protesters, many at the "No Kings" rally said the event was mostly peaceful.
Many protestors rallied while dressed in costumes and carrying signs that critiqued President Trump’s policies, namely on immigration and crime. Others held signs that denounced fascism.
