For those not eating meat on Fridays during Lent, we've found some of the best spots across metro Detroit for a fish fry, some are offering carry-out or drive-thru options this year.

Meyersdale Elks Lodge, Dale Street, Meyersdale, fish fry every Friday during Lent. Serving from 4:30 until 7 p.m. Fried or baked (unbreaded) haddock, french fries or baked potato, coleslaw, roll and coffee. Other beverages also are available. Several local groups will start fish fries on Ash Wednesday, but the season will begin for most fish fries on Friday, March 7.
