Kansas opens up the “new” (~60% complete) Kansas Memorial Stadium as the Jayhawks welcome in the Fresno State Bulldogs for a prime time, Week 0 game to kick off the 2025 college football season. Kansas and Fresno State have never met in football.

Fresno State is not a pushover and should be taken seriously as a Mountain West team, a conference that has given Kansas some trouble the last few seasons. In 2023, it was the Jayhawks barely squeaking away a win at 2-10 Nevada, and in 2024, we all remember that brutal UNLV loss. Fresno State will be ready to play, and Kansas will need to respond.

Kickoff is almost here for the Fresno State football team. The Bulldogs, led by first-year coach Matt Entz, open the season against Kansas at 3:30 p.m. PDT Saturday from newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence.
