Google on Wednesday unveiled a new line-up of Pixel smartphones injected with another dose of artificial intelligence that’s designed to do everything from fetch vital information stored on the devices to help improve photos as they’re being taken.

Apple Inc. is in early discussions about using Google Gemini to power a revamped version of the Siri voice assistant, marking a key potential step toward outsourcing more of its artificial intelligence technology.

Google will provide a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services to federal agencies for 47 cents each, the General Services Administration (GSA) announced Thursday. Federal agencies will have access to Gemini for Government at the discounted price through 2026.

Meta has signed a six-year deal to use Google’s cloud-computing services as it builds out its AI infrastructure.
