The Pittsburgh Steelers could have some competition for Gabe Davis. Davis will come to the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Tuesday before heading to the Buffalo Bills, his former team, on Wednesday. According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Davis will be in Pittsburgh for a medical check related to his knee injury from last year.
Jacksonville parted ways with the 26-year-old Davis earlier this year, one season into a three-year, $39 million contract. Davis recorded 20 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games for the Jaguars before suffering a left knee injury.
Gabe Davis is doing one last thing with the Steelers before he goes to visit the Bills as one of the top free agents remaining.
The Bills potentially bringing back Davis could spell the end for Curtis Samuel. Buffalo signed the former Commanders receiver to a three-year deal last offseason, but he had a very quiet 2024 campaign, catching just 31 passes and one touchdown.
