FEMA is expected to perform a damage assessment, the next step toward a presidential disaster declaration that would authorize federal aid.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will arrive in Wisconsin on Thursday, according to Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.

Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency are expected in Southeast Wisconsin this week to begin assessing the damage first-hand from last weekend's historic flooding as local and state officials ask for a federal disaster declaration.
