James Milner has been ruled out of Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carabao Cup tie at Arsenal on Wednesday. The 39-year-old was limping after Bryan Mbeumo scored a fourth goal for Manchester United in the 4-2 win over Brighton deep into injury time at Old Trafford on Saturday, having come of the bench in the second half.

While Arsenal may be able to break through with an edge on the set-piece front, the Brighton boss has revealed how to stop that threat. Arsenal’s set-piece threat has been so potent in the past few months that it has become a topic of conversation once again.

He said "it is not just Gabriel" that is a threat for the Gunners from set pieces as "they do it very well together and have really good patterns". Hurzeler added: "On the other side, we are quite good in defending and we are quite confident that we are capable of defending against them."
