We barely finished cataloguing our best sneakers of 2024, and Jordan Brand is already out here announcing major heat for 2025. The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Chicago’–one of the most beloved retro Js–is set to make a long-awaited comeback over the holiday season next year.

The "Chicago" Air Jordan 1 colorway last released in November 2022, albeit a reimagined "Lost and Found" version that featured cracked leather details on the upper. At the time of writing, the 2025 "Chicago" Air Jordan 1 Low retro has not yet been announced by Jordan Brand.

The “Rookie of the Year” colorway was introduced on the OG Air Jordan 1 back in 2018. The Golden Harvest color on the panels is inspired by the brown shirt worn by Michael Jordan when accepting the 1985 NBA Rookie of the Year honors. The spare red laces are a nod to Jordan's beloved Chicago Bulls.

First launched in 1985 as a high top silhouette, it’s been almost a decade since the OG Jordan 1 Low "Chicago" hit the scene, with the last proper drop back in 2016.

After having one of the best Air Jordans this year with the release of two Jordan 4 RM collabs, Nigel Sylvester and Jordan Brand are continuing the momentum in 2025 with a new Air Jordan 1 collab.

At the time of writing, neither Nigel Sylvester nor Jordan Brand have indicated that they have an Air Jordan 1 Low OG collaboration in the works. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the shoe, as it is currently rumored to drop next fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
