Yogendra Yadav, former AAP leader, warns that the party's defeat in Delhi signals shrinking space for alternative politics, marginalising the underprivileged.

As the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) licks its wounds after the Delhi drubbing, its now-expelled co-founder and lawyer Prashant Bhushan has held his estranged brother-in-arms and AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal responsible for the poll debacle.

Arvind Kejriwal contested the Delhi Election 2025 from the New Delhi assembly constituency. There are 22 candidates contesting against Kejriwal, including BJP's Parvesh Verma and Congress' Sandeep Dixit.

Chief minister Bhagwant Mann, in his speech, also told the members not to feel disheartened and to work to develop a ‘Punjab model’ of governance and development, the party leaders said.

CM Bhagwant Mann said Tuesday's meeting was called to thank Punjab AAP leaders who were engaged in mass contact programmes in Delhi ahead of the Assembly polls.

Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, expelled AAP members, called the loss a setback for those who hoped for an alternative political vision.
